3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Mar 11)
2. Feel The Intensity
Brock Lesnar is at his best when he just wants to boot some arses.
His intensity throughout SmackDown's opening segment was great, and the interactions he had with old 'Advocate' Paul Heyman were a lot of fun. OK, so some out there will be disappointed that Roman Reigns wasn't in town, but he and Lesnar can't go hammer and tongs on TV every week.
This skit was a fine way to build their WrestleMania match without the need for another staredown or fight in-ring. Credit must go to Heyman for being so skilled at his craft that he can cover for clients who aren't there in person. That's a professional wrestling manager. One of the best ever, in fact.
The way Brock switches from fun-loving to angry is believable, but he didn't even need to do that here. Instead, he was ready to f*cking Hulk smash everyone from the get-go due to Roman's beatdown at that MSG house show.
Good stuff.
