Honestly, WWE could have done more, but kudos to opening the six-woman tag match with Tatum Paxley getting some shine on all three heels from the jump.

Wrestling just her third main roster match – and first special event – Paxley started for her team of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair against B-Fab, whom she kept off-balance and flattened with a somersault leg drop. Michin entered the ring, and Tatum fought both of them off. She dropkicked Jade Cargill to the floor and continued her blitz on the apron and then the floor, hitting a step-up enzigiri using the apron to propel herself up to ring height for the kick.

Paxley’s flurry ended there, and she quickly became the face in peril, but this was a good little display of her in-ring skills. It was just enough to let fans know that Tatum isn’t simply a goofy character – she can go in the ring, and she’s got a unique collection of moves.

It’s a shame all of that was lost as the match broke down throughout, but if this was your first time watching Paxley wrestle, you definitely got the impression that she’s got some talent and can surprise you in the ring.
