3 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 7)

5. The Feud Must Continue

If we hadn’t already seen the Hurt Business lose two Raw Tag Team Championship matches to the New Day, then maybe this wouldn’t be as bad.

But having seen Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin fail twice, it really makes this continued rivalry all the more strange, with the foursome now engaged in singles matches for them to trade pinfalls. On Monday, we saw Kofi Kingston topple Benjamin in an abbreviated match, only for Cedric to challenge him and then capitalize on an injured knee and pick up the eventual win.

So the story here is what? Alexander gets it done himself? So are we going to see him get too big for his britches for the Hurt Business? Or is this simply an effort to build Cedric up while leading to a third tag title match?

Regardless, this storytelling-in-reverse effort is just poorly conceived.
