3 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Nov 22)
2. More Miztakes
The Miz was planning on a having a celebration on Smackdown after retaining the Intercontinental Title against Sami Zayn at Survivor Series, but Daniel Bryan had other plans. Annoyed that Miz made Smackdown look bad by relying on Maryse's help in the interpromotional battle, he booked Miz in a title match against Kalisto.
The bout itself wasn't bad, but it never really got going. Kalisto hit a few high-risk moves before the show went to commercial, and when they came back, there was some more disjointed fighting. Eventually, Baron Corbin interfered to help Miz pick up the win, but the whole thing was mistimed, leaving Kalisto waiting as he climbed the turnbuckle and resulting in an awkward camera pan to the crowd.
The Corbin-Kalisto feud certainly isn't grabbing anyone's attention. After the bout, Dolph laid Miz out with a Superkick, but even that felt a little underwhelming, given that those two guys are usually called upon to make Smackdown a winning show.
