Finally, it was time for James Ellsworth's WWE World Title shot against AJ Styles. Daniel Bryan told Dean Ambrose that he couldn't referee the bout, but his concession that Ambrose could take on another role opened the door for some hijinks.

Ambrose worked as the ring announcer and the timekeeper, doing anything he could to distract Styles. "The Phenomenal One" was still dominant during the bout - despite Ellsworth's unique features helping him slide out of a chinlock - but Ambrose's constant interruptions eventually allowed Ellsworth to trip the WWE World Champion up on the ropes, then hit him with a superkick (called "No Chin Music" by David Otunga) for a two count.

Ambrose kept chiding Styles, eventually making him so angry that he refused to stop attacking Ellsworth against the ropes and got disqualified. That gave Ambrose the opportunity to run in and plant Styles with yet another Dirty Deeds.

I'm not sure why they protected James Ellsworth (though he is 2-0 against Styles), but this was a really funny main event in a way that built up the Ambrose-Styles program nicely. This show ended on a high note.
