3 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Oct 18)
Downs...
4. Buried
Smackdown opened with Randy Orton cutting a promo on Bray Wyatt but - once again - Wyatt responded with a video message on the Titantron. This time, he was laying in a casket, promising to fight Orton to the finish.
That brought out Luke Harper, who took on Orton in the show's opening contest. Harper overpowered Orton early, but when the tide turned, Bray Wyatt came out from the back - in his coffin, with sheep-masked attendants wheeling him down. Wyatt left the coffin and watched the bout, but when Orton was about to hit the draping DDT, he ran in for the DQ.
They laid Orton out and opened the casket to deposit him, but Kane was inside. The babyfaces fought off the heels, but before they could hit their finishers, the lights went out. When they came up, Wyatt and Harper were gone.
I'm not sure if this means a casket match is coming up at Survivor Series, but this segment was just more of the same wheel-spinning we've seen from this feud. The fact that there's another month left to go is not encouraging.
