It was another somewhat frustrating year in WWE for Cesaro, as the Swiss Superman continued to be arguably the most consistent performer in all of pro wrestling. Despite this he continues to languish in the tag team division, and it doesn't seem as though a major singles push is in his near future.

Cesaro's immense uppercut power was captured perfectly in this sublime shot from WWE's tour of Mexico late in the year. Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Big E. and Xavier Woods were the unlucky recipients, although I dare say Woods took the brunt of it.

The picture captures the Swiss Superman in full flight, the sort of perfectly-timed photograph that can make or break careers.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
