Augmented in later years by the seminal 'Wrestling With Shadows' documentary and the bridge-building between Bret Hart, Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels, the external airing of the organisation's internal strife permanently paved the way for the most significant period in company history - even if the wrestlers themselves weren't even around to share the spoils.
