8. Hounds Of Justice (2012)

Though the turtlenecks had to go, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns had at least got shot of literal shields before they made their blockbuster debut at the close of CM Punk's 2012 title defence against John Cena and Ryback.

'The Big Guy' perhaps suffered most as a result of The Shield, but his babyface push was a casualty of a war the three young stars had to wage on the company's rank-and-file. 'Eras' in company history are only defined by debatable dotted lines, but 'The Hounds Of Justice' explosively arriving on the scene felt immediately - and intentionally - immense.
