30 Most Inconsequential WWE Titleholders Of All Time

10. The Godfather - Intercontinental Champion - 43 Days (1999)

When the Intercontinental Title was in a game of hot potato during the first few months of 1999, in April, the belt made its way to the Godfather, who defeated Goldust on Raw. He held the belt longer than a month, before losing the belt to Jeff Jarrett on Raw. Godfather's reign is notorious for the match that never happened. Godfather was supposed to defend the title against The Blue Blazer (played by Owen Hart) at Over the Edge 1999. That was the match where Owen fell from the ceiling and died in a tragic accident. Owen was supposed to win the belt from the Godfather at the event, and Owen's tag team partner and friend Jarrett was booked to win the belt instead, as a tribute to Owen.
