HBK was the #1 entrant in the 2003 Rumble, and his nemesis Chris Jericho was #2, though as Y2J made his way to the ring, it turned out that Jericho's partner Christian was actually posing as him. While Michaels stood in the ring confused, Jericho entered the ring from behind and nailed HBK with a low blow, beginning the match. Cue Jericho assaulting HBK for a few minutes, using a steel chair to bust him wide open and then effortlessly dumping him over the top rope while the #3 entrant, Chris Nowinski, watched from the outside. That's right, two-time Rumble winner Michaels lasted less than three minutes: what a way to further his feud with Jericho and reinforce the unpredictability of the match.
