2. John Cena's Surprise Return Trolls Everyone (2008)
After suffering a torn pectoral muscle on the October 1, 2007 of Raw, John Cena was stripped of his WWE Championship and reported to be out of action for up to 7 months, but miraculously healed quickly enough that he appeared as a surprise #30 entrant in the 2008 Rumble less than 4 months later. Cena then spent just 8:28 in the match before eliminating Triple H to win, much to the ire of a huge chunk of the Internet Wrestling Community, who saw it as underwhelming despite the surprise return because Cena spent so little time in the ring, the shortest, in fact, of any winner to date. Love it or hate it, props to the WWE for managing to keep something so huge legitimately under wraps.
