Released under the name ‘World Wrestling Federation Superstars’ in 1993, WrestleMania: The Album was a godawful turd of a long player, a cheap-as-chips pop cash-in that will literally make you squirm like you have worms in your gusset.

Even more horrible than the sound of the benighted, soulless thing is the fact that Mike Stock and Pete Waterman (of Britain's infamous ‘Stock Aitken & Waterman’ cheesy-pop songwriting and production team) were in charge of the album, and have writing credits on most of the songs.

Worse still? Large-trousered deadpan haircut Simon Cowell was the A&R executive in charge of putting the album together. It reached number ten in the UK charts, and sullied the minds of all who listened to it - which is good news if you live in the States, because it didn’t even chart there.
