https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAMY_swXQHM The top two feuds in WCW in the second half of 1989 involved Ric Flair fighting for his life versus the "middle aged and crazy" Terry Funk, and athletic young babyface Sting wrestling the similarly athletic young New Japan performer the Great Muta. Thus, the "electrified Thunderdome cage match" between Flair and Sting versus Funk and Muta on the surface may seem hokey with that stipulation, but in the ring, it's a highly athletic brawl mixing what made the NWA great with what would come to define WCW's future all in the same ring.
