30 WTF Moments In Hulk Hogan's WWE Career

21. The War Bonnet

In mid 1988, Hogan started wrestling while wearing what he described as his "war bonnet." This hilarious helmet was made in a gladiator style, with a red and yellow paint job. The most ridiculous part of it was undoubtedly the huge yellow fist that was attached to the crown. Hogan wore it for a while, even handing Bad News Brown his first loss via the helmet at Madison Square Garden. He then quietly discontinued wearing the accessory, aware that he was being mocked by sections of the fans. The logic had been that the Road Warriors were massively over with their shoulder pads, so a centurion helmet accessory would also work for Hulk? No, it wouldn't.
