Before becoming famous as the big guy in the yellow trunks, Hogan was more distinguishable for the range of capes he'd wear to the ring. A bit like Nature Boy Ric Flair would always wear robes, Hogan in his early days would always wear capes. Except unlike Flair's robes, Hogan's capes looked ridiculous. It was a case of WTF, what is he wearing? It was all part of his preening heel act pre-1984, and thankfully the capes were left in the past once Hulkamania had exploded.
