Celebrities have a time and place in wrestling, but it generally isn't in the thick of a title-vs-title super-showdown between two of a company's hottest workers.

Going into 2015's summer spectacular, Seth Rollins and John Cena were enjoying the most creatively fertile runs of their WWE careers. 'The Architect' had effortlessly assumed the mantle of the company's top dog as WWE Champion, and erstwhile boo-boy Cena had finally earned the respect of the naysayers with his US Open Challenge, raising the prestige of the US title some notches in the process.

Fans were already somewhat wary of the 'winner-takes-all' stipulation to begin with, knowing at least one good thing had to come to an end. They were left utterly galled when TV host Jon Stewart was the deciding factor in the bout, stiffing Cena with a chair for reasons barely explored. Big John's wonderful US title run came crashing to a close, and the belt has barely recovered since.
