5. Kevin Owens/"Stone Cold" Steve Austin

Whilst many have been fans of Kevin Steen for a long time, Kevin Owens is now finally making some big waves in the WWE.

Being compared to arguably the biggest name in pro wrestling history is no mean feat, but hear me out.

When Steve Austin started to gather momentum in the WWF there were many variables that all happened to click together perfectly, but one key component to the “Stone Cold” persona was Austin’s feud with Bret Hart.

Austin was a no-nonsense heel who did exactly what he said he was going to do, was often justified in what he was saying, and in Hart he saw himself going up against a babyface superstar who many fans were tiring of seeing.

In John Cena, we currently have a WWE babyface who many have been tired off for many a year. As a result, this has only furthered the cheers received by Owens during his time on WWE television.

Kevin Owens is a huge, huge talent, a massive trash talker and a heel who is persuasive in justifying his actions. That said, if Owens obtains even half of the success of Steve Austin then he’ll have achieved a hell of a lot.
