Birthplace: Afa – Samoa; Sika – Leone, American Samoa.

When it comes to the Samoan Islands, many superstars spring to mind for some wrestling fans. Superstars such as “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, Yokozuna, The Rock, and even Roman Reigns.

Whilst all of those stars have ties to Samoa in one way or another, none of them were actually born in the Samoan Islands.

As such, the greatest superstars to come from these South Pacific islands have to be the Aka and Sika, The Wild Samoans. This duo were the first guys to really embrace the savage, feral native gimmick and take it to another level, legitimately striking fear into audiences as they went. And as these two were always presented as a team, it’s impossible to separate them here.

Other notable names to take into consideration would be WWE Hall of Famers Peter Maivia and Rikishi, and the sadly deceased Umaga. The sad thing is, if Umaga’s life wasn’t tragically cut short he could be the one included here as the greatest wrestler to come from the Samoan Islands.
