8. Scotland: Bill Dundee

Birthplace: Dundee, Scotland

Often believed to be Australian, the revered Bill Dundee is actually Scottish by birth. Likewise, despite common belief, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper was actually born in Canada rather than Scotland.

The heel Dundee is best remembered for his time in Memphis, where he spent many a year feuding with Jerry “The King” Lawler. At times putting their problems to one side, Dundee and Lawler would even team up to win the AWA Tag Team Championship at one point.

Known for being legitimately tough, the now-71-year-old Dundee still classifies himself as an active wrestler and isn’t afraid to step in the ring when the need calls for it.

One would have to think that if the WWE took Drew McIntyre (now Drew Galloway) in a different direction, maybe he could’ve surpassed Bill Dundee by this point. Unfortunately for The Chosen One, it didn’t take long before he was playing air guitar alongside Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater.
