Leave it to the SmackDown Tag Team Champions to hand out a dose of reality on Monday night.

Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura showed up to challenge the Raw Tag Team Champions the Street Profits to a match next week as part of the Brand-to-Brand Invitational. But in doing so, they took a hell of a swipe at them. Cesaro noted that the Profits are the longest-reigning Raw tag champs in forever (six months and counting), but no one thinks of them as longtime champs.

Instead, when people think of the Street Profits, they think of basketball, golf and fighting ninjas… and never defending their tag titles. And that’s a pretty blunt assessment right there. In six months, they’ve defended the tag titles five times – and three of those defences came in the first month. They’ve legit defended the titles just twice in the past five months.

It’s a really bad sign when Cesaro & Nakamura – who are the heels in this standoff – are truthfully accusing their rivals of being jokers who don’t defend their titles.

Maybe when they square off, they can make it title-for-title and merge the tag titles, since the Profits apparently aren’t doing much with them.
