4 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE Raw (Sep 7)

7. Lee Becomes A Prop

Keith Lee landed with a lot of fanfare on Raw, knocking off Randy Orton in his first week on the main roster.

But Monday night, he was reduced to being little more than a prop in the Orton/Drew McIntyre feud. Sure, he had a couple of nice moments, powering out of an RKO and taking some shots on Orton. But after an overall short and average match, Lee fell to an RKO and rolled out of the ring as McIntyre attacked for the DQ. And Lee wasn’t seen again.

This isn’t a huge issue, but at the same time, Lee has been feuding with Orton for the past couple weeks, beat the Viper clean last week, and then the Limitless One disappeared into the ether because the McIntyre/Orton feud has to take centre stage.

Any other wrestler could have been a stand-in for that match, and that’s never a good sign.
