Heading into Monday Night Raw, it was easy to guess that this was going to be an epically bad episode. Survivor Series left a really bad taste, and the worst part of it – a storyline revolving around a golden egg movie prop everyone was forced to pretend was worth $100 million – was guaranteed to be a central focus of the show.

Despite being mocked for such an idiotic plotline, WWE leaned into it, doing the proverbial “laugh with the people who are laughing at you,” but it just made the company look more like a joke.

They enlisted wrestlers to frantically tear up backstage and run around in a mad panic searching for the stolen egg or clues as to its whereabouts. They then paid off the angle by rewarding the thief with a WWE Championship match, which he lost after getting distracted by an argument outside the ring.

Raw had a United States Championship open challenge that was answered and then ducked by a guy who calls himself a warrior. They tried to get a new challenger for the Raw Women’s Championship over by having the champ truthfully shred her to the point where the contender nearly cried. And they had a babyface tag team get DQ’d because they’re incapable of winning fairly.

All told, this was a terrible, rotten, no-good episode of Raw. Let’s get to it…
