4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (18 May - Results & Review)

Ups...

4. No Problems With This

Thunder Rosa Deonna Purrazzo
AEW

Deonna Purrazzo beating Robyn Renegade was to the point without just being an outright squash like the Rush match. That was appreciated, because it's always a hoot when Deonna figures out her opponent's weaknesses then grinds them down the longer a match goes. She's one of the best in the women's division at that sort of give and take.

The post-match stuff with Thunder Rosa was certainly nothing new for their feud, but it acted as fun-enough build towards their eventual match. A brawl between the pair at Double Or Nothing could be a shout, but they might not make the pay-per-view line up in the end. So, things could well be settled on TV.

That's fine if there's a bit of hype heading in and a knock-on impact elsewhere.

The winner of Purrazzo vs. Rosa must move right back into contention for titles. That's true whether they're battling for Toni Storm's main Women's belt, or the TBS Title that Mercedes Mone will probably win at DoN next week. Apologies in advance to any Willow Nightingale fans out there.
