4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 9 - Results & Review)

Ups...

4. Action-Packed Trios

Roderick Strong Rocky Romero
AEW

Admittedly, some are a tad numb to this style of trios match in AEW now. That's probs 'cause it seems like TK books around 10 of them every single week on TV, but there was enough to like about Rampage's opener. Besides, it actually had a clear goal: Build towards a title match on pay-per-view.

Roderick Strong is challenging Orange Cassidy for the International Title at Revolution, so he wanted to enlist his pals in The Undisputed Kingdom to kick lumps out of some Best Friends. It worked, and it helped to have a bit of narrative context to all the typical madcap bump and feed spots.

Is it a problem that Undisputed Kingdom comes across as more of an nWo 'B' team than the Wolfpac? No doubt, but the faction is still jam-packed with dudes who know their sh*t in-ring and can be relied upon to work really, really hard every single time they're out there.

Their graft and the Revolution build scores this an 'Up'.
