4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 15 - Results & Review)

Toni Storm got a rather nasty surprise on this week's edition of AEW Rampage.

Chris Jericho said rising star Konosuke Takeshita will have AEW gold around his waist within six months on this week's episode of Rampage. That's not misplaced hype from someone playing the role of OTT colour commentator - it's something everybody can get onboard with. Anyone who watches All Elite's product can see how good Takeshita is.

The same could be said of 'Timeless' Toni Storm. No, she and Deonna Purrazzo didn't have the best match back at Revolution, but there's still more to come from their feud. Tony Khan took a bold step towards their rematch on Friday, and the boss lined up a fun tag-team diversion to keep things interesting.

That reveal proved popular with a rowdy live crowd in Boston. People were naturally buzzing for Mercedes Mone's debut on Dynamite, but the same fans reacted well to everything AEW put in front of them on Rampage. That sense of atmosphere helped massively, because it certainly wasn't there for last week's episode.

Unfortunately, this company's over-reliance on throwing everything at the wall in-ring to see what might stick was present. Khan really needs to move on from booking so many of these formulaic trios matches.

Here's a rundown of everything you need to know from Rampage!
