4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 17 - Results & Review)

3. Proving Why He’s One Of The Best

Christian Cage

Let's be honest, nobody believed Trent Beretta had a hope in hell of winning the TNT Title on this week's Rampage. The Best Friends member had only earned that slot vs. Christian Cage by winning a zippy four-way on Collision, so there wasn't exactly much time to sell him as a true threat to the champ.

Time for the good news.

Christian showed why he's one of the best workers in the biz by making this one-off title challenge more than it probably deserved to be. He referenced his own Collision promo physically by stomping on Trent's neck and generally being a piece of sh*t to him deep into the match.

The way Cage held Beretta down even after successfully pinning him was sublime too. Few in the industry get the finer points of a heel character better than Christian. He really is on a tear these days, and is somehow only getting better the longer this marches on.
