4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 29)

CM Punk's next opponent is set; AEW's next star is born; Halloween horrors fail.

Last week's Rampage was a quite brilliant lead-in for back-to-back episodes of Dynamite. Cody Rhodes saved the day by attacking Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black, and El Idolo himself had a stunning match with PAC that every wrestling fan should go out of their way to see.

Good news. This week's show had another blistering battle you need to watch.

Eddie Kingston can be proud of his night's work on Friday. He and Bryan Danielson tore the f*cking house down in Boston, then fans watched as Jon Moxley's on/off rival-meets-tag partner mouthed off behind the curtain and kickstarted his next mini-feud against another top star; in the process, AEW advanced the World Title Eliminator tourney and set up another story.

The only negatives came from the same match, sadly. Rampage's main event didn't quite fit that slot (All Elite are making a habit of this some weeks - that Andrade vs. PAC scorcher aside), and the silly Halloween-inspired stuff surrounding it was way more WWE than Tony Khan might like to admit.

Here are all the 'Ups' and 'Downs' from another pulsating, if imperfect, 60 minutes.
