4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 29 - Results & Review)

1. Best The Hardys Have Looked

The Acclaimed Brother Zay

Time to report something smashing: Friday's opening Trios Title bout was the best Matt and Jeff Hardy have looked on TV in a long, long time. The brothers are nowhere near where they used to be physically, obviously, but that doesn't mean they don't work hard or know when to pick their spots.

The Hardys got it spot on (ahem) this week.

Both let Brother Zay take most of the bumps from The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn, but interspersed that arse kicking with some fun moments of their own. Gunn and Matt performing duelling "Delete" and "Suck It" gestures was top banter, for example. That got the live crowd onside immediately.

The Acclaimed and "Daddy Ass" roll on as champs, and Rampage got a nice open challenge match out of it. That's win-win for everybody involved. It'd be a minor miracle if The Acclaimed's follow up Trios Title defence on WrestleDream's pre-show tops this.
