4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 9)

1. An Absolute Waste Of Time

Serena Deeb Madison Rayne
AEW

AEW delivered next-to-no build for Serena Deeb vs. Madison Rayne, then handed both veterans approx three short minutes to work with. It wasn't quite a squash, but Rayne defo didn't get a lot in before staring at the lights for Deeb. Thanks for coming, Madison.

Score another wasted signing/introduction/run.

Worse, the promotion's commentary clashes with how they're booking somebody. Tony Schiavone can tell fans all day long that Rayne is a big deal, but the way she's handled and presented on television doesn't back that up. She, like many others, is just sort of there.

This fan has no clue why the match was even on Rampage, because it achieved nothing. If Tony Khan thinks people will care about Serena after beating Madison Rayne in 180 seconds, then he's wrong. What a complete and utter waste of TV time.
