4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage: St. Patrick's Day Slam (Mar 17)

Downs...

2. Bit Of A Nothing Match

Matt Menard Angelo Parker JAS The Acclaimed
AEW

You wouldn't know that The Bollywood Boyz are ex-WWE stars. They're not presented as a big deal on AEW programming, and have exclusively wrestled on 'C' level programming like Dark until appearing on this week's Rampage. Is it really a negative that AEW doesn't big them up just because they came from WWE though?

Nah.

The bigger crime is that Matt Menard and Angelo Parker working with Bollywood was a complete throwaway gig that didn't do a thing for anyone involved. Beating the brothers meant nothing for the JAS crew, and even their post-match scissoring failed to build any excitement for that side quest with The Acclaimed.

Being brutally frank, this might've been better off on Dark or Dark: Elevation after all. It was a huge step down from recent tag efforts involving The Elite and others on Rampage, and felt like it was overstaying its welcome just a few minutes in.
