2. Man Was Third Wheeling Hard
Santos Escobar's work was tidy, but the dude needs some actual storyline direction. No, whatever this undercooked mini-feud vs. Apollo Crews is doesn't count. He's going to need more than that. Way more. Escobar was little more than background noise for the real story between LA Knight and Logan Paul on Friday.
In fact, he even fell in line behind NBA players during the same segment.
Should anyone be worried? Nah, not really, but workers can only tread water for so long before audiences stop caring about them full stop. Santos can ask his new rival Apollo all about that one. Escobar was involved here so LA and Logan didn't need to have a singles bout before SummerSlam. Cool, but toss the guy a bone elsewhere.
The entire Legado del Fantasma faction is one of several across both major brands WWE doesn't have locked in plans for. The Pride are suffering from that lack of planning too, but at least they've got Bobby Lashley's return to look forward to.
