4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dark (Jan 21)

3. Big Swole Gets It Done

Big Swole Diamante

Big Swole scored a rare AEW victory on Dark, besting the debuting Diamante in a fun little TV bout that didn't overstay its welcome.

While the work wasn't anything blowaway, both wrestlers showed great personality throughout, with Swole allowed to showcase plenty of her eye-catching offense. She's an interesting product. While she doesn't have a whole lot of experience, Swole is one of the most charismatic wrestlers in the division and someone who'd likely benefit from a busier wrestling schedule than AEW can deliver at the moment. Watching her progress is going to be a lot of fun.

Diamante, meanwhile, projects bad*ssery from the moment she walks out from the tunnel and has history with Ortiz and Santana, having been part of LAX in Impact Wrestling. This gives her a readymade relationship to exploit should she become a regular contributor.

Pulling out of Eddie Guerrero's Three Amigos spot as the fans chanted the legend's name was a deft move from Diamante, who was clearly playing the heel. She fell to Swole's Dirty Dancing finisher in just over seven minutes of wrestling that anyone on a prospect-scouting mission should seek out.
