4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dark (Jan 21)

2. Welcome Back

Excalibur Taz
AEW

Taz was back in the AEW announce booth again last night. He did a predictably great job, sounding engaged, excited, and energetic, having long since eschewed the over-explanations that once blighted his WWE and TNA/Impact work.

This should prove to be a great signing for AEW, as Taz has evolved into one of the sport's better commentators since transitioning from the ring to the booth. He'll make for a great Tony Schiavone substitute whenever the ex-WCW man is unavailable as well and is clearly relishing the opportunity to be working with a major wrestling organisation again. Good for him; he's doing a tremendous job.
