4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage 100 (July 7)

2. Bit Of A Nothing Match

Sammy Guevara Daniel Garcia
AEW

There wasn't much substance to Matt Hardy and Jeff Jarrett vs. Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia. In fact, the most fun thing about it was actually Jericho (best commentator ever) saying that Jarrett was a better Jeff that Matt's brother; "...and a better guitar player too!".

The actual match itself was fairly short though. It also had one of those pesky picture-in-picture ad breaks, and just never really picked up steam before the finish. Guevara and Garcia winning was the right call for the tournament, but their pairing didn't really sell the supposed random nature of the set up.

Nobody will remember this bout next week, put it that way.

Jarrett has way more chemistry with Jay Lethal, and Matt is kinda in limbo at the moment due to all this Ethan Page stuff hanging over everyone like a bad cloud. If this was a video game Career Mode, you'd sim this match and check the result rather than sitting through it.
