4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 27)
1. The Wrong Winners?
This is only an opinion.
Some will disagree with it, and that's fine, but this fan cannot shake the feeling that Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus would've been better challengers for The Young Bucks than Rey Fenix and Penta. JB has gone up a notch recently due to his brief flirtation with the main event pack, and working a steel cage bout for the tag belts at All Out would've been a graceful drop down.
Being honest, the live crowd seemed a little flat after Lucha Bros won too. Although there can be no complaints with the meat of the match (more on that later), it does feel like Jurassic Express should've pushed their way into the top challenger slot for the coming pay-per-view instead.
Saying that, Lucha vs. Bucks will be tons of fun. They had a ladder-based cracker back at All Out 2019 for the AAA straps, and they'll do special things inside the cage. Damn though, wouldn't it have been fresher to see Jungle Boy and his dino in there?
