4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 27)

1. Kenny Omega = Scared

Kenny Omega Christian Cage Killswitch
AEW

Is there a slight worry that this story might've peaked a little too early? Yeah, there is, but Kenny Omega and Christian Cage are still working hard with it. They're hanging their hats on one simple premise: Omega is terrified of the Killswitch finish after it took the IMPACT Title from him two weeks ago.

That's enough to keep this burning until All Out.

Cage and Frankie Kazarian vs. Omega and Brandon Cutler was a nice way to cap off this week's Rampage. Kazarian still gets to do his 'me vs. the world' thing, Cutler bumps around like a fish out of water, Omega is Omega, and Christian clearly has Kenny's number in the context of this feud.

The AEW Champion avoided the dreaded Killswitch, left Brandon to the wolves and saved his own skin. Rampage went off the air with the clear insinuation that it's curtains for Omega if Cage nails that finish on pay-per-view.

What was that about simple but effective booking?
