4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 5)

Here's something some won't like: The first half of Rampage's 'Friday Night Street Fight' main event lacked some fire. There was nothing wrong with the work of guys like Keith Lee, Swerve Strickland, Josh Woods or Tony Nese, but they were definitely keeping their powder dry.

The second half was killer though.

Chaos started when Mark Sterling hit Lee with a steel chair. After that, Woods/Nese hit a double DDT on the big man, and Swerve broke up their pin attempt with a sweet-looking 450 Splash. Table mayhem followed, including a sacrificial moment from Woods when he hit a German on Keith off the ring apron.

Even Sterling took a table bump to heighten the excitement. It was like everybody paused during an ad break to down a can of Monster each before going back at it - if you don't like meandering ringside brawling, then check out the closing stretch here.

You will not be disappointed.
