4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 14)

Ups...

4. The Acclaimed = Personality On Tap

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster are entertaining heels. They're the kind of villains you want to see get a right good slap, but they're willing to have a giggle at the same time. Here, The Acclaimed pairing produced a send-up video mocking Darby Allin and Sting for being friends.

Are they best friends though? That's the question.

This was a fun little vignette, and it added a ton to Rampage. OK, so the dude dressed as "Sting" looked more like Alice Cooper, and Bowens definitely struggled to walk in those denim shorts, but it's hard to give any of this a 'Down'. These guys are trying to get something going, and they should be commended for that.

A feud with The Acclaimed is something a little different for the Stinger and Darby too. They might end up being presented as a full-time tag-team going forwards, which would be fine. Plus, giving Caster and Bowens a win could lead to a program opposite Jurassic Express.

That'd be fine too.
