4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 12)

Team Taz recruits; Hangman Page makes a promise; AEW's main event stinks.

Last week on Rampage, AEW delivered quite the fierce showdown between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston ahead of their (potentially show-stealing) match at Full Gear. This week, the company shelved Punk vs. Eddie for a hot minute to focus more on the pay-per-view's 'Falls Count Anywhere' match.

The episode also decided to hand some TV minutes to non-PPV stories like Dante Martin maybe joining a new group, an upcoming TBS Title tourney match pitting Jade Cargill vs. Red Velvet and the feud between Matt Hardy and Orange Cassidy.

That last one sucked. Sorry, but it did - it's responsible for two of the three 'Downs' included in this article, and deservedly so. All Elite only has 60 mins to work with on Rampage every week, so it's a bit rubbish when they position a so-so story like that in the main event slot and give it so much time.

Other moments saved the day though, to be fair. There was enough good sh*t to stop this from being a glorified preview show that was just stacked with hype vignettes for Full Gear.

Let's dig in.
