4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 12)

Downs...

3. Squashing Santana

Jade Cargill
AEW

Jade Cargill is a future AEW Women's Champion.

That's a weird way to open up the negatives, eh? It's true though - Cargill is grabbing her chance and quickly turning into a real star around these parts. Sadly, that comes at the expense of others. Santana Garrett got absolutely nothing in during their short match on Rampage. Like, seriously. Bugger all.

No, Garrett is not the priority in this division, but it'd be nice if she got a few offensive flurries in here or there. Otherwise, why portray her as a threat at all? The announcers claimed she had a chance when she really, really didn't, and that made for a sorry two minutes that felt completely pointless.

Santana had a short match against Tay Conti during the 'Buy In' addition a few weeks ago too. The difference is that she was made to look somewhat competitive against a woman who is now challenging for Britt Baker's title. AEW need to be a little more consistent here.
