4 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 1)

1. A Nothing Challenge

The Dark Order John Silver Alex Reynolds
AEW

Meh.

Look, anyone who has read any of this writer's stuff over the years probably knows he's no mega-fan of The Dark Order, but...is anybody actually excited for their upcoming ROH Tag Title challenge? John Silver and Alex Reynolds won the Battle Royale on Rampage, and now they march on to All Out.

The pair going up against MJF and Adam Cole just isn't credible at all. If anything, it feels like something AEW should've cooked up for a random episode of Dynamite, and that perhaps says everything about Sunday's pay-per-view. It's a bit of an afterthought, which is presumably why TK rushed into booking this.

Nothing about Silver and Reynolds screams, 'We're taking your belts, guys!'. Also, weren't Dark Order supposed to be getting gritty again? They worked the same goofy shenanigans fans have witnessed a million times over towards the end of Friday's match.
