4 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Feb 20)
1. S***list
It's impossible to care about the United States Title division at the moment, such is the mess WWE have made of the wrestlers' motivations.
Last night saw Jinder Mahal march down to the ring, promising to unveil a deep, dark secret that would shake Bobby Roode to his core. "What was that secret?", you ask. The champion's own SmackDown top 10 list, in which he was at the top, while Mahal and Randy Orton were nowhere to be found.
WWE are basing this feud around a subjective kayfabe ranking list. That 'The Maharaja' would be so wound-up by this paints him as a dope, and in bigging Orton up so vociferously, he looked like 'The Viper's' biggest fanboy. Roode, meanwhile, showed decent fire in his promo, but who gives a damn if he thinks he's the best wrestler on SmackDown? His material has never been so tedious.
The three-way confrontation eventually devolved into another brawl, with Jinder standing tall in the end. This led to Shane McMahon booking Orton vs. Roode for Fastlane, though it'll likely turn into a Triple Threat, and this turgid feud will trundle on.
