4 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Nov 15)

Welcome home, Mr. Deadman.

Though not as heavily promoted as 2012's Raw 1000, WWE did a good job building-up to last night's 900th episode of SmackDown. It didn't just serve as the last stop before Survivor Series, but a stage for The Undertaker's long-awaited comeback, and a huge Intercontinental Title rematch between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz.

By the time it finished, SmackDown wasn't the historic show that WWE had built it up to be, but it succeeded on a number of levels. There were some missteps (looking at you, tag teams), sure, but The Undertaker's return delivered, as did Miz vs. Ziggler, and SD's women were successfully able to ward off their Raw invaders.

Both shows did a great job in building Survivor Series as an important pay-per-view this week, even if their teams' transformations were too sudden to be believable. SmackDown's stars were beating the tar out of each other last week, but now? They've forgotten all about their differences, and Survivor Series will be focused on competition rather than infighting.

This was one of the better go-home shows that WWE have produced this year, but definitely not one you'll be telling your grandchildren about in 30 years. Here are 4 ups and 3 downs from last night's WWE SmackDown.
