4 Ups & 3 Downs From NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15 (Night 2)

Downs...

3. Put Some Respect On The Stone Pitbull's Name

Tomohiro Ishii Minuro Suzuki
NJPW

How do you f*ck over Tomohiro Ishii again?

It's an outrage, a joke, a disgrace. He's one of the best pro wrestlers on the planet. This is a man who throughout last year's G1 compelled the otherwise conscientious clap-crowds to lose themselves under the perfect rhythms of his fighting spirit comeback spots. They gasped when they were asked not to gasp, and were considerate enough not to gasp, because his psychological brilliance is such that they couldn't help themselves.

And yet, as has become a trend, he was cruelly and senselessly relegated to the inessential multi-man for the millionth time.

"Tomohiro Ishii doesn't get enough respect at the Tokyo Dome" shouldn't be a freezing cold take. And yet, somehow, it is.

Unacceptable disrespect.
