4 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Oct 4)
1. A Week Early
The animosity has been building for weeks now for the oVe vs Lucha Bros/Brian Cage match at Bound For Glory. It's one of the most anticipated matches on the entire card. With that in mind, why were the two teams facing off in a match as the main event?
It was a fairly short match and ended in a disqualification, but there was no need whatsoever for an official match to take place. A brawl - which is essentially what this was in fairness - would have been better suited to keep the hype at its highest before the big match next weekend.
Luckily for Impact, they've done a brilliant job in building this match up, and with the competitors involved in general. As a result, it hasn't done too much to harm the match. In hindsight, it gave us a glimpse as to what we can expect to see in New York, a match that will be contested under oVe rules.
It remains a down purely based upon the fact that a match that's been built up this much shouldn't just be aired beforehand on a random episode of Impact. Let's see what happens in a week's time...
