4 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Oct 4)
2. It's Not Confidence, Just All Ego
Remember Chandler Park? Yeah, he probably won't be back. A lookalike has appeared though, as Ethan Page made his official Impact debut to align himself with Matt Sydal.
This article series has been almost completely against the continuation of Sydal's rivalry with Rich Swann as it's been the same thing each week - Sydal meditating and trying to get Swann to follow his third eye. As soon as the duo actually face each other, that has all changed. The addition of Page - a top indy name that will help boost the company's popularity in their new home of Canada - will do wonders for them.
It's strange that Impact had Page debut in Mexico considering he's a Canadian native. While looking back at it however, it could be classed as a strategic decision if Impact want to get him over as a bad guy. Had he debuted in his home nation, it's likely he would've been given a warm reception.
There could be more excellent news on the way for the rivalry, with Swann set to choose a mystery partner for a Bound For Glory tag team match. Depending on who he ends up choosing, it could either be another up or it could be right back to the bottom of the pile for this rivalry.
