4 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Oct 4)
1. Making An Impact
Ahead of the Bound For Glory main event, Austin Aries and Johnny Impact came face to face following Eddie Edwards disposing of Aries' cronies Moose and Killer Kross. Aries came out in a sling which he soon let us know was something he didn't really require. After all, why would he need help with an arm injury after being hit in the head?
Things broke down, with the champ being left laying following a Starship Pain. He doesn't look like much of a champion when his boys are away.
If wrestling history has taught us anything, it's that whoever walks in to the big pay-per-view match with the last laugh is typically the one to lose. There's still another episode of Impact to go before BFG, but Impact has gotten the better of Aries for the past two weeks now. Unless Aries stands tall next week, the odds are against Johnny walking out of the Melrose Ballroom as the World Champion.
Something to keep in mind is that Aries has the numbers advantage, seeing as Impact only has Eddie Edwards to back him up. That is unless a swerve is on the way as an epic conclusion to Bound For Glory...
