This was the right way to go.

Solo Sikoa's revamped Bloodline faction feeds on violence and a mob mentality. So, putting Solo in there vs. Cody Rhodes using standard rulesets and all that b*llocks would've been unnecessary. The SummerSlam headliner needed some edge, and WWE realised that. They announced that Solo vs. Cody will be 'Bloodline Rules'.

That opens doors for the likes of Tama Tonga, Jacob Fatu and Tonga Loa to interfere on Solo's behalf, but also means everyone from Jimmy and Jey Uso to none other than Roman Reigns can run in too. Now, creative has deftly avoided a crummy DQ decision, meaning Rhodes will need to decisively defend his belt the same way he won it at 'Mania.

Chaos is incoming. Not only was that expected, it's encouraged! No, Sikoa didn't quite match Cody on the mic during SmackDown's open, but both guys still got the point across: Roman Reigns is coming back to put Solo over his knee. In a manner of speaking, of course.
