4 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 28)

1. Back On SmackDown “For Good”

Kofi Kingston Big E New Day 2022

Big E returning to SmackDown and helping Kofi Kingston fend off Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss is an incredibly unsatisfying decision. WWE have repeatedly made a mockery of their own Draft since it happened just shy of four months ago, and this was just the latest slap in the face to fans.

Next time, don't be shocked if there's a stunning lack of coverage surrounding the Draft. It's useless, and E's sudden trade is proof; he was Raw's top pick in October, and now USA Network execs are happy to let the guy who was recently WWE Champion walk away over to FOX without putting up a fight or getting anything in return?

Work that one out.

WWE created a rod for their own back by championing the Draft as something monumental. They don't get a pass when things like this happen, especially when they take former WWE Champs and put them in feuds against joke tag-teams overnight.
